A part of identifying data is inserted in an Internet protocol address of Internet protocol (IP) datagrams addressed to a telecommunication network e.g. network based on IP, where the identifying data belongs to a group comprising an identifier of an origin broadcast network, transport stream identifier and digital broadcasting service identifier. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a transport level address signal that follows a transformation of a transport level address into a another transport level address (2) a gateway comprising an address level transforming unit (3) a downloadable computer programming product having program code instructions for implementing a transport level transforming method. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for transforming a digital broadcasting service (DVB) address into Internet protocol (IP) address e.g. IPv4 address and IPv6 address, in Internet protocol datagrams addressed to a telecommunication network based on Internet protocol (claimed), for multicast addressing of the datagrams within a network layer of the telecommunication network during encapsulation of data issued from a digital broadcasting service e.g. DVB, for transporting data on the network. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method permits to divide address space according to the digital broadcasting service address and permits decompartmentalization of broadcast network of operators. The method permits to assure uniqueness of digital video broadcasting (DVB) services retransmitted on the telecommunication network by eliminating address recovering problems and eliminating the loss of the DVB services on the network. The method permits to limit the interventions of the operators during updating of new broadcast services issued from a DVB network.
