#CMT# #/CMT# The module has a safety system integrated with a structure element (2) and comprising roll bars (22a, 22b). The roll bars are displaceable between retracted and deployed positions with respect to the structure element using roll bars actuating device, and are disengaged during turning of the module. A retractable roof (3) is articulated on the structure element and displaceable between deployed and retracted positions. The safety system has lateral supports (4a, 4b) possessing surfaces (6, 7) for supporting on body shell of a vehicle. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for a motor vehicle (claimed) of convertible type. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The roof module permits to optimize the assembling of the vehicle and to test the deployment of the retractable roof and locking unit of the roof, and disengagement and deployment of the roll bars on a same test bench.
