Disclosed is a multilayer body composed of a sealing film wherein at least one organic film and at least one inorganic film are arranged in layers, and a transparent resin base. The organic film is made of a fluorine compound or an alicyclic structure- containing polymer, and a simple substance metal or a metal compound as the raw materials. The inorganic film is made of a simple substance metal or a metal compound as the raw material. Also disclosed is a light- emitting device wherein a lower electrode layer, a light-emitting material layer, an upper electrode layer and a sealing layer are sequentially arranged on a substrate in layers. In this light-emitting device, the substrate and the sealing layer are composed of the above- described multilayer body. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
