An automatic knife sharpener is provided to maintain the performance of a knife blade by making the acute polishing angle of the knife blade acute with a wide polishing area. An automatic knife sharpener includes a body(10), a motor, a power source unit, a first rotary plate(13), a second rotary plate(14), a first polishing disc(15), a second polishing disc(16), and a partially pressing unit. The first and second polishing discs face each other so that a knife blade is inserted between the first and second polishing discs. The first polishing disc and the second polishing disc are installed loosely so that the first and second polishing discs move with respect to the first and second rotary plates. Semi-spherical bosses are formed in the first and second polishing discs. Spherical recesses corresponding to the semi-spherical bosses are formed in the first and second rotary plates. |
