A rescue request processing method and a system thereof are provided to calculate location information based on a GPS(Global Positioning System) by using a PS(Positioning Server) even for a subscriber belonging to a WCDMA(Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) network, thus rescue of a user who asks for help is available. A rescue request receiver(321) receives a rescue request from a rescue request terminal(300). An authenticator(322) authenticates whether the terminal(300) subscribes for a help service. A location request receiver receives a supply request for location information from the authenticator(322). A network decider(316) decides whether the terminal(300) belongs to a 3G network. If the terminal(300) belongs to the 3G network, a PS(330) provides access information, and sets a session between the terminal(300) and the PS(330) by using the access information, then calculates a location of the terminal(300) based on a GPS through the set session. A rescue service center(323) receives the calculated location results. |
