A method of making wedging chocks comprises the steps of making a model 3 having a longitudinal edge corresponding to the desired profile of the wedging chocks, and providing cubic wooden workpieces 6. The model is secured to a support 18, and a wooden workpiece is secured to a mobile table 14. The wooden workpiece is moved along a path determined by the model through a bandsaw 8. The table is then returned and the chock is ejected. The wedging chocks produced by this method may be formed from a single piece of material, and may be used for wedging pipes. |
