A communication terminal having an emergency reception function, a CID display terminal having the same function, and an emergency reception service method therein are provided to make users rapidly notified of an emergency situation by turning on televisions, comprised in each home, by using wire telephones receiving an emergency reception signal and tuning channels of the TV to a news channel broadcasting the emergency situation. A communication terminal(100) having an emergency reception function comprises an analog interface part(101), a control part(103), an external interface part(105), and a storage part. The analog interface part(101), connected with a telephone line, executes an interface function to transceive signals with a PSTN(350) through the telephone line. The control part(103), in case an emergency reception signal is inputted through the analog interface part(101), transfers the present mode to an emergency reception mode, creates an electronic device control signal to operate an electronic device, and outputs it. The external interface part(105), having a connector to be connected with an external device, makes the electronic device control signal outputted to the outside. The storage part stores an emergency situation warning signal to be outputted in the emergency reception mode. Also the storage part stores information to create the electronic device control signal.
