摘要 A liquid crystal display device and a fabricating method thereof are provided to form protrusions of which peak portions are indented to print an orientation film with a uniform thickness on areas having no the protrusions and the peak portions of the protrusions, thereby controlling mobility of liquid crystal at the peak portions as desired. A liquid crystal display device including a first substrate(50) and a second substrate(40) formed with column spacers(165) for keeping a predetermined distance from the first substrate, includes first domain control elements formed on a same plane surface with the column spacers. The first domain control elements are in the shape of protrusion(135) with n ridges and (n-1) valleys, wherein n is more than or equal to 2, and n represents a natural number. An orientation film(160) is formed with a thickness equal on areas formed with the first domain control elements and any other areas. The second substrate has second domain control elements in the shape of the protrusion or slit, which are disposed alternately with the first domain control elements.
