#CMT# #/CMT# Liquid ingredient containing composition for cosmetic product, comprises an aqueous solvent and minerals extracted from scoriaceous volcanic ejections e.g. pozzolana. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is included for a process of preparing the composition comprising contacting a rock obtained from the scoriaceous volcanic ejections with a solvent containing demineralized water to make a suspension, heating the suspension at =50[deg]C and recovering a liquid phase by the filtration of the heated suspension. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# The composition is useful in cosmetic product (claimed), particularly in care product of skin, hair and nails. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The ingredient is free of iron or iron compounds (claimed). The composition: provides good physicochemical properties to the product e.g. texture, color and perfume; and has good cosmetic properties like moisturizing, toning, refreshing, cleaning and disinfecting the skin and reduce opening of the pores. #CMT#INORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Process: The process further comprises extracting the iron to form the ingredient i.e. iron free ingredient by filtering it through an activated carbon to retain the iron or iron containing compounds. Preferred Components: The pozzolana comprises dry silica extract at 40 wt.%. The solvent comprises demineralized water at 50 vol.% and a suspending agent (that is used in beauty care products) at 50 vol.%. The pozzolana is present in powder form with a particle size of 200-400 mu m. |
