THREE-DIMENSIONAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

A three-dimensional image display device and a driving method thereof are provided to let a user selectively watch a multi-view point three-dimensional image with a wide visual range and a two-view point three-dimensional image with high resolution. A three-dimensional image display device is composed of an image display unit(100) and a light controller(200) disposed to face one side of the image display unit. The light controller comprises first and second substrates(10,12) arranged oppositely to each other; a two-view point electrode layer(14) and a multi-view point electrode layer(16) disposed between the first and second substrates; and a light crystal layer(18) disposed between the first and second substrates to form a light blocking unit and a light transmitting unit according to driving voltage applied to the two-view point electrode layer or the multi-view point electrode layer.
