<p>An apparatus and a method for controlling fax transmission of documents through authentication are provided to enable an administrator to directly confirm a document that a user wants to transmit through fax and information about the user and directly control whether to transmit a fax document based on the information, thereby more enhancing security maintenance. An apparatus for controlling fax transmission of documents through authentication comprises a controller(120) which requests authentication, about whether to transmit fax of the documents, to an administrator(140) and controls the fax transmission of the documents after receiving a reply to the request. The authentication about whether to transmit the fax of the documents is requested to the administrator(140) through one method of fax transmission, e-mail or a message service. The replay to the authentication request is performed through one method of a user interface, a user interface on a system or a dedicated client/server program.</p> |
