<p>A gamma curve adjustment device and a method for setting an adjustment point are provided to adjust a gamma curve, indicating relationship between input tone values and output tone values, within a short time so as to provide a desired gamma curve, thereby solving a problem that a long time is required for gamma curve adjustment. A gamma curve adjustment device which is used in a gamma correction circuit for gamma correction of an image signal and adjusts a gamma curve indicating relationship between input tone values and output tone values. The gamma curve adjustment device comprises the followings: a user interface which permits a user designation of the output tone values at each adjustment point for a plurality of preset adjustment points on the gamma curve; and an adjuster(10b) for adjusting the gamma curve so that the output tone value at each adjustment point can be the value designated through the user interface.</p> |
