The engine has a stop valve (12) to remove exhaust gas on an impeller (17) to send them to an exhaust gas recirculation circuit (14) and to a mixer (19). A three-way control valve (15) is placed on the circuit to supply the impeller with air/recirculated gas. An exhaust air injection circuit (21) connects the impeller to a manifold (3) interposed with a stop valve (20) that opens when the valve (12) is closed and vice versa.
