A mobile terminal is provided to enhance user convenience by using a liquid crystal screen of a terminal in both exposed and non-exposed states, and to increase the size of the liquid crystal screen relatively compared with the size of the terminal. A liquid crystal panel is slidably combined with a main body(100) and includes a liquid crystal screen(202). The main body(100) and the liquid crystal panel are connected electrically or through a circuit. Guide grooves are formed at the main body(100) and guide rails(212) are formed at the liquid crystal panel. In a state that the liquid crystal panel is folded in a thicknesswise direction on the main body(100), the liquid crystal panel is slidably moved by virtue of the guide grooves and the guide rails(212), releasing the folded state with the main body(100) and the liquid crystal panel extending. When the main body(100) and the liquid crystal panel extend maximally, they stop their slidable movement without being separated. In this state, with one end portion of the liquid crystal panel fixed, the other remaining portion of the liquid crystal panel thereof is rotated by a hinge so as to be folded or unfolded.
