METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SYNCHRONIZING MULTIMEDIA DATA

A method and an apparatus for synchronizing multimedia data are provided to manage large-capacity data by transmitting and receiving only low-capacity header information for synchronization. A method for synchronizing multimedia data between a terminal and a server includes the steps of: transmitting and receiving only header information about data at an initial synchronization time; and storing the transmitted/received header information. The header information is a download descriptor.
