The pair has two wooden or plastic chopsticks (10, 12) with each comprising an upper end and a lower end that is indented to be in contact with the food. The upper end (18) of the chopstick (10) has an opening (22) with a part (24) constituting a slot and a hole (26) whose longitudinal dimension is slightly greater than width (L1) of a shrunken part (28) of the chopstick (12). The upper end (20) of the chopstick (12) is introduced in the opening so as to position the shrunken part in the hole. The opening has a length (L) greater than the width of the upper end of the chopstick (12).
