Provided are a novel proton conductive polymer, a method for preparing the polymer, a proton conductive polymer membrane comprising the polymer which is excellent in thermal stability and mechanical strength, a membrane electrode assembly containing the membrane, and a fuel cell containing the assembly. The proton conductive polymer is prepared by substituting the both ends of a silane-based inorganic polymer as a main chain with a silane compound having an amino group represented by Si(OR)3(CH2)nNH2, and condensation reacting it to form a network structure, wherein the amino group is substituted with a hydrogen ion exchange group; R is H or a C1-C6 alkoxy group; and n is an integer of 0-5. Preferably, the hydrogen ion exchange group is selected from phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, and acetic acid. |
