A file service system for sending remote files and a service method therefor are provided to effectively display various application formats of files used in a computer environment, on a remote mobile terminal irrespective of the type, performance and environment of the mobile terminal, thereby displaying optimized images on a screen of a mobile terminal. A mobile terminal(3) demands a file service after accessing a file transmission server(2), displays executed results of the file service on a screen, and properly renders a received file according to the screen of the terminal(3) to display the rendered file. The file transmission server(2) interprets the file service demand received from the terminal(3) to download an original file from a contents server(4), and converts the downloaded file into a single format of vector-based image file through a file conversion server(1), then delivers the converted file to the terminal(3).
