A drier having a steam injection apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to remove wrinkles and smells of clothes by omitting a washing step and only operating a simple dry step through jetting steam and a hot blast in an inner part of a drum, thereby reducing time of laundering operation. A drier having a steam injection apparatus comprises a cabinet(50) where an intake port and a discharge outlet are formed; a drum(60) where the laundry is stored; a driving motor(90) connected to the drum; a supporting panel(62) where a backside end of the drum is rotatably combined; an intake pipe(70) extended to the inner side of the drum from a through-hole part; a heater(74) heating air; a case(110) where water is filled; a nozzle(112) correspondently positioned at the through-hole part to allow water to jet into the inner part of the drum; and a removal unit installed between the case and the supporting panel to allow the case to be separated from the supporting panel by the manipulation of users. |
