<p>A method for reconfiguring a traffic transmission path in a mobile communication system is provided to avoid congestion of a network and an unnecessary signaling process by relocating the most suitable gateway for the second eNode B and executing traffic transmission through the optimized path in case a UE(User Equipment) moves to the second eNode B from the first eNode B. If it is confirmed that a UE, which has completed handover from an seNB (serving eNode B) to a teNB(terminating eNode B), is in a quasi-active state, the teNB determines the most efficient AG(Access Gateway), or a tAG, and transmits an AG relocation request message to the tAG(S10). The tAG, receiving the AG relocation request message, transmits an AG path optimization request message to an sAG(S11). In response to the AG path optimization request message, the sAG transmits an AG path optimization response message, including context information and identification information for the UE, to the tAG(S12). The sAG transmits a path switching message to inform an inter-AS or an associated server that path switching to the tAG is required for traffic transmission for the UE(S13).</p> |
