A swing hinge type mobile terminal is provided to solve problems of the related art using a magnetic sensor for recognizing a position of an upper panel swung on a lower panel that its fabrication process is complicate, it requires many components and an error may be generated by magnetism. A rotary member(100) is installed to be driven by interworking with an upper panel. An opening/closing sensing unit, which includes connectors(110), rails(120), and connection state transferring parts, detects a rotational state of the upper panel according to rotation of the rotary member(100). A base member(40) allows the opening/closing sensing unit to be mounted thereon. The connectors(110) are fixed on the rotary member(100) to interwork according to a swing motion of the rotary member(100). The rails(120) form one or more gaps at a certain region, and switch an ON/OFF state of the upper panel. The connection state transferring parts transfer an ON/OFF signal to a PCB(Printed Circuit Board).
