AN APPARATUS FOR REMOVING THE HARMONICS IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

An apparatus for removing harmonics in a mobile terminal is provided to prevent non-linear distortion due to the third harmonic component of a transmission signal and improve the ORFS(Output Radio Frequency Spectrum)/ACPR(Adjacent Channel Power Ratio) by removing the third harmonic component, which is generated in the process of modulation in case a GSM OR CDMA mobile terminal outputs the signal in, and inputting the signal, from which the harmonic component is removed, to a power amplifier module. An apparatus for removing harmonics in a mobile terminal comprises a main control part and the third harmonic cancellation part. The main control part outputs a harmonic cancellation signal in case the strength of a transmission signal is maximum or bigger than a certain level when the mobile terminal transmits the signal. The third harmonic cancellation part filters the third harmonic component of the signal according to the harmonic cancellation signal outputted from the main control part and outputs it to a power amplifier module.
