<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect earlier a moisture excess status inside a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 10 having a polymer electrolyte fuel cell 20 is provided with an AC current generating part 52 which impresses alternating current with a certain frequency and amplitude on the fuel cell 20, an AC voltage acquisition part (filter part 71, A/D converter 72, and control part 54) which, by separating AC component caused by AC current from the output voltage in a specific unit cell constituting the fuel cell 20, obtains the voltage value of the AC component with the passage of time, a wet status judgement part (control part 54) which judges whether the fuel cell 20 is in a wet trend or not, and an overwet judgement part (control part 54) which, when the fuel cell 20 is judged to be in the wet trend by the wet status judgement part, obtains a statistic value showing the size of fluctuations of the voltage value of the AC component obtained with the passage of time, and judges that the fuel cell 20 is in an overwet state when the statistic value showing the fluctuations exceeds a reference value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
