<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punching method of an iron core for an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine for enhancing the production yield of the iron core. <P>SOLUTION: A center iron core for the ignition coil for the internal combustion engine is punched from a first roll material, and a side iron core is punched from a second roll material. Since the center core and the side core are broadly different in an occupied area, the different roll materials are first independently punched, respectively, rather than punching the one roll material, and the one roll material is not used for the both cores.
