<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image, by precisely reproducing circumstances around a vehicle, on the window of the vehicle for safe driving by a driver. <P>SOLUTION: In this on-vehicle image display device 5 mounted in the vehicle, aspects of objects such as a surrounding scenry, a person or a vehicle around the vehicle, or an obstacle are detected by a detection unit 80 as circumstances around the vehicle. Detection data representing the detection result is transmitted to an on-vehicle unit 90. In the on-vehicle unit 90, the image representing the circumstances around the vehicle is generated by a drawing processor 39 based on the detection data.
