<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a direct printing job of a file format to be dealt with correctly and in many languages under the same level of printing process as a routine one and a printing job to be performed by an estimated print setting. <P>SOLUTION: In the imaging device equipped with a USB terminal, it is recognized that a device has been connected with the USB terminal and then it is determined whether the recognized device is a mass storage device or not. Further, in case the determination indicates that it is the mass storage device, a file is detected from the device and languages are automatically discriminated by analyzing the detected file.
