PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure which can perform calculations for determining the load acting between a housing washer and a hub constituting an anti-friction bearing unit, from the change in the output signal of a sensor facing a surface to be detected of an encoder 4d, using small amount of calculation. SOLUTION: The boundary between a part magnetized to the N-pole and a part magnetized to the S-pole existing on the surface to be detected of the encoder 4e is formed in a curved shape. By adopting such a structure, changes between the output signal and the changes in the load enables establishment of a linear relation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
