PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrate respective components of a retaining wall to allow the retaining wall to exert a bearing capacity as a whole against the soil pressure of the high ground effectively for a long period of time, to reduce the production of excavated soil, waste soil, and backfilling soil, and to surely prevent the fall of the retaining wall. SOLUTION: The retaining wall (1) includes hollow posts (2) each of which is made by integrating a pile (2a) reaching a support layer (S) of the ground (G) having a given bearing capacity and an erected post (2b) extending upward from the ground surface of the low ground (LG), and the wall (3) of a reinforced concrete structure containing the posts (2) embedded therein. The posts (2) are spaced along the direction of the core of the retaining wall (1), and filled with concrete filling the inner hollow area of the posts (2). COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
