PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition imparting water repellency, water absorption preventing properties, dimensional stability, preservative properties and termite-proof properties by a treatment once and having excellent leaching prevention, etc., of preservative and termite-proof agents and to provide a method for treating wood using the composition. SOLUTION: The silicone emulsion composition is obtained by adding and mixing (F) a boron compound in an amount of 0.1-300 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the solid content of a silicone emulsion therewith. Furthermore, the silicone emulsion is obtained by emulsifying and dispersing components composed of (A) 100 pts.mass of an organopolysiloxane having 2 hydroxy groups bound to silicon atom in one molecule, (B) 0.5-20 pts.mass of a reaction product of an amino group-containing organoxysilane with an acid anhydride, (C) 0-20 pts.mass of an epoxy group-containing organoxysilane and/or a partial hydrolyzate thereof, (D) 0-50 pts.mass of colloidal silica and/or a polysilsesquioxane and (E) 0-10 pts.mass of a curing catalyst in water.
