PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdery detergent composition for clothes exhibiting high detergent power to sebum stain, mud stain and their composite stain while reducing the physical and mental load in hand washing, etc. SOLUTION: The powdery detergent composition for clothes contains (a) a polymer having a weight-average molecular weight of≥1,000,000 and containing≥70 wt.% monomer unit having a sulfonic acid group or its salt-type group and/or sulfuric acid group or its salt-type group in the polymer and (b) a polymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000-300,000 and containing≥50 mol% monomer unit in the polymer.
