A method for implementing the Network Service Provider realm name discovery and the device thereof are used for discovering the Network Service Provider realm name by the user equipment in the wireless communication network. In the invention, the network side notifies the Network Service Provider realm name to the user equipment; the user equipment receives the Network Service Provider realm name notified by the network side, and discovers the required Network Service Provider realm name. The invention can effectively and reliably implement the Network Service Provider realm name discovery.
