<p>A decanter type centrifugal separator comprising a torque transmission mechanism with increased torsional vibration absorbing effect. The decanter type centrifugal separator (10) comprises a cylindrical part (21), a conical part (22), a bowl (20) having a supernatant liquid discharge dam (25) and dehydrated solid matter discharge port (26), a screw conveyor (40) for axially carrying precipitated solid matter inserted into the bowl (20) and disposed coaxially with the bowl (20) and rotatably at a speed different from that of the bowl, a processed liquid feed means (15), a supernatant liquid discharge port (81), a solid matter discharge port (82), a drive means (71), and a differential device (50) producing a difference in speed between the bowl (20) and the screw conveyor (40). The centrifugal separator further comprises toque transmission mechanisms (60, 61) having an elastic damping member (67) as a drive force transmission load supporter on the torque transmission surfaces (66) of joint flange parts (62a, 62b) formed on a screw conveyor (40) side joint part (43) which is the torsional vibration generating source of a drive transmission shaft (51) between the differential device (50) and the screw conveyor (40), having portability in the rotating direction, and having a damping effect on a torsional self-excited vibration in normal and reverse directions in a minute angle provided thereto when a drive force is transmitted thereto.</p> |
