<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aqueous pigment ink used for an inkjet-recording, equipped with a high color-developing property and a highly glossy property, an aqueous pigment dispersion-containing composition used for preparing the ink and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This aqueous pigment dispersion for preparing the aqueous pigment ink used for the inkjet-recording is provided by consisting of an organic pigment, (A) an acrylic copolymer having ≥85% total of a (meth)acrylic acid ester-based monomer having benzene ring and a (meth)acrylic acid monomer by mass basis, and also having 40-100 mgKOH/g acid value and ≤10 mgKOH/g hydroxyl value, a basic substance and water, and the aqueous pigment dispersion-containing composition used for preparing the aqueous pigment ink used for the inkjet-recording is provided by containing the (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer having the benzene ring and without covering the organic pigment, and the (meth)acrylic acid monomer as essential components, and (B) an acrylic copolymer having 40-100 mgKOH/g acid value.
