<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a catalyst for producing p-xylene from toluene which dispenses with severe requests and difficult treatment from an environmental aspect to organic amine-containing waste water when organic amine is used as a template agent to synthesize a ZSM-5 molecular sieve, makes a molecular sieve have small and uniform particles when alcohol or ether is used as the template agent to synthesize the ZSM-5 molecular sieve, and thus solves the problem of a traditional technique such that the catalyst produced thereby has only low catalyst selectivity and a low toluene conversion. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst to be used for p-xylene production is produced by using a combination of organic amine, and alcohol or ether as the template agent to synthesize the ZSM-5 molecular sieve, modifying by an organic silicon compound; and carrying out toluene form selective alkylation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
