<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a parts count, to prevent rotation unevenness of a disk-shaped printing medium, and to support the printing medium while preventing a non printing face of the printing medium from being flawed during printing in a rotary printer. <P>SOLUTION: A moving mechanism of an optical disk reader and writer 10 moves a printing head to a printing execution position according to the forward/rearward rotation of a step motor 22, and also moves a driving roller to a driving position. Alternatively, the moving mechanism moves the printing head to a printing standby position, and also moves the driving roller to a driving standby position. The driving roller is driven and rotated by the step motor 22, contacting a circumferential edge of an optical disk 12 sideways and rotary-driving the optical disk 12. A plurality of projections which mesh with the circumferential edge of the optical disk 12 are formed on a front face of the driving roller. During printing, a center part of the face of the opposite side to a face where a printing region 12a of the optical disk 12 is formed is supported by a turntable, and its outer periphery is supported by a backup roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
