PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the nose position movable in front from the forward limit position without changing the travelling stroke of a extruding plunger by adding an extension rod to the extruding plunger, if necessary, in the discharge of a remaining metallic material in a melting cylinder. SOLUTION: This apparatus is composed of: the melting cylinder which has heating means on the outer periphery and a charging port of the short columnar metallic material on the rear part; the extruding plunger the nose part of which is inserted into the inside from the rear end of the melting cylinder and with the nose part of which the metallic material in the melting cylinder is pressed and moved forward; and a pressing plate which is freely movable back and forth on a base plate to which the rear end of an injection plunger is connected attachably and detachably. The extension rod which is interposed between the pressing plate and the extruding plunger and has the length by which the nose position of the extruding plunger is moved from the forward limit position to a position where the whole quantity of the metallic material in the melting cylinder is discharged by connecting both.
