The device has a lifting equipment that is arranged in a dead-centre position, where the lifting equipment, a cutter and an upper cutter (37) are mounted to a head section, a base section, a front edge section of the product. A pressing device (30) presses the product before cutting. A pneumatic cylinder (33) and a pressing device controller (42) stop the pressing of the pressing device in such a manner that a pressing duration is changed within clock duration of the device.
