<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive member capable of reducing the variation of the gap between the conductive member and an image carrier due to environmental variation. <P>SOLUTION: An electrifying roller (conductive member) 3 has: a resistance adjustment layer 11 formed of a polymer type ion conductive material as a main material on a conductive support 10; and gap holding portions 13a and 13b which are provided on both end portions of the resistance adjustment layer 11 and whose insulating surfaces are abutted on both end sides of a photoreceptor drum 2 arranged near the resistance adjustment layer 11, to form a predetermined gap C between the resistance adjusting layer 11 and the photoreceptor drum 2, wherein the thickness of the resistance adjustment layer 11 is 100 to 500 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
