<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight assembly and a display device in which quality of image display is improved. <P>SOLUTION: A backlight assembly includes an ultra high frequency wave generating part 210, a light emitting part 230, and a light guide part 240. The ultrahigh frequency wave generating part 210 generates ultrahigh frequency waves. The light emitting part 230 generates a light by the high frequency waves. The light guide part 240 is connected with the light emitting part 230 and guides a light generated from the light emitting part 230. Thus, the backlight assembly generates a light through high frequency waves without a help of an electrode and a phosphor, and as a result, an adverse effect from an electrode and a phosphor can be avoided and a further improvement in an image display can be attained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
