<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to provide accurate translation data in a short time without need of conversion time or translation time and to provide the latest version of translation origin to a user only by reading the old version of an original by providing data to a user using the latest version of translation data which are preliminarily stored in a storage means. <P>SOLUTION: In a translation server, when the latest version of translation data corresponding to an original text preliminarily exist in a document database (step S14: YES), the translation data are used. When not translation data but the latest version of document data exist, the document data are translated to obtain translation data (step S17).
