<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous thixotropic composition which contains an oily component, can be produced without being heated, has a high thixotropic characteristic, has high product stability, and has excellent transparency. <P>SOLUTION: This thixotropic composition contains the following components (A) to (E) as essential components.
