PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge for photosensitive recording medium in which a light shielding property is improved by arranging a light shielding plate at the outside of a shutter, while the shutter can be opened and closed easily and surely by excluding restriction of shutter movement distance due to arrangement of the light shield plate. SOLUTION: The cartridge 2 housing a recording disk 4 having a photosensitive property is provided with a cartridge main body 11 having internal openings 18, 19 exposing a center part 4a and a recording plane 4b of a recording disk 4 to the outside, a light shielding plate 12 attached to the outside of the cartridge main body 11 and having external openings 14, 15 opposing to the internal openings 18, 19, and a shutter 13 incorporated between the cartridge main body 11 and the light shielding plate 12 so as to slide freely and opening and closing the internal openings 18, 19 and the external openings 14, 15, and a locking part 56d engaging with a shutter opening member 43 of a recording and reproducing apparatus 60 and opening and closing the shutter 13 is formed at an end part of a closing position side of the shutter 13.
