PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a plurality of users to browse the same content data without the transmission and reception of the content data via a public network. SOLUTION: A terminal 111 connected to a home network 101 acquires the identification information of content data browsed from an electronic bulletin board server 121 connected to a public network 102. An HDD recorder 113 which is connected to the terminal 111 via the home network 101 stores a plurality of content data in association with their identification information. The terminal 111 reads out the corresponding content data from the HDD recorder 113 based on the identification information acquired from the electronic bulletin board server 121. Then, the terminal 111 transmits the content data thus read out to a television 112 from the HDD recorder 113 via the home network 101 and makes the television 112 display the content data.
