摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MVA mode liquid crystal display panel which is excellent in symmetry of viewing angle characteristics. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel is equipped with: an array substrate 101 and an opposite substrate 102; a liquid crystal layer 190 containing a liquid crystal composition with negative dielectric anisotropy and interposed between the array substrate 101 and the opposite substrate 102; and a plurality of slope control parts 15, 18 which are aligned on at least one substrate out of the array substrate 101 and the opposite substrate 102 so as to extend to a prescribed direction, and which divide alignment of the liquid crystal layer 190 into a plurality of alignment regions I in each of which a mean director direction of liquid crystal molecules 190A is orthogonal to the prescribed direction by controlling a gradient of an electric field obtained in the liquid crystal layer 190, wherein the liquid crystal layer 190 has a plurality of alignment loosening regions A-H in which the mean director direction of the liquid crystal molecules 190A is deviated from the direction orthogonal to the prescribed direction, and unit vectors n in the mean director directions of the plurality of alignment loosening regions A-H are set in such a way that the total sum of the vector values weighted respectively in areas S of the alignment loosening regions exists in a prescribed range including zero.
