PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a fiber optical plate capable of arbitrarily limiting NA by using an existing optical fiber. SOLUTION: The fiber optical plate is composed of a first and a second flat plate in each of which a plurality of optical fibers are bundled, with their optical axes formed in parallel. The first and the the second flat plate are stuck together, enabling a desired NA to be obtained in the direction in which NA is smaller than the NA limit value within the single body of the flat plate.
