PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device preventing development of corrosion on a mounting surface of the steering device on a vehicle body frame and deterioration of an elastic member and easily securing the flatness of the mounting surface on the vehicle body frame at low cost. SOLUTION: A gap between a mounting surface 841 of the vehicle body frame 84 and a mounting surface 361 of a vehicle body mounting part 36 is formed on a vertical surface. Muddy water therefore does not drop downward from the gap due to gravity and vibration of a vehicle body and does not stay in the gap, even if the muddy water enters into the gap. The mounting surface 361 is formed in parallel to an axial center 11 of a pinion shaft 1, and thereby a mold dividing surface of a mold of a housing 3 and a mounting surface 361 of the housing 3 coincide with each other when casting the housing 3. As a result, plane of the mounting surface 361 can be secured, and cutting of the cast mounting surface 361 can be abolished by a vertical arrangement different from a conventional horizontal arrangement.
