An aeration system (20) for circulating an aerating fluid through a chemical composition (34) within a container (2S) . The aeration system (20) is closed-loop such that the aeration fluid is supplied by a fluid supply system (24) to the interior (44) of a container (26) to aerate the chemical composition (34) therein. The aeration fluid is returned to the fluid supply system (24) for subsequent redelivery to the container (26) . A filtering mechanism (60) may be employed to remove large particulate matter from the aeration fluid prior to flowing back to the fluid supply system (24) . The aeration process improves the flowability of the chemical composition (34) thus facilitating the transferring and/or discharging of the chemical composition (34) from the container. The aeration process may occur during transport, prior to discharging, and/or during a discharging or transferring operation.
