<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for separation designed to separate unnecessary residues including a forehead bone in the head of the fishes with a high recovery ratio of a nasal cartilage. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for separating the nasal cartilage is an apparatus designed to pass the head 11 of a salmon through the interior of a rotating drum 2 having the outer periphery formed of inner and outer rod members 26 and 27 and separate a nasal cartilaginous part 12 from other sites including the forehead bone 13 by using the rotating drum 2. The inner and outer rod members 26 and 27 are obtained by using cylindrical rod members made of iron and the interval between the rod members is 20 mm, respectively. This is such an interval as to pass the forehead bone 13 therethrough without passing the nasal cartilaginous part 12. Guide plates 29 standing into the interior and formed into a helical shape in the axial direction are provided in the interior of the rotating drum 2. Thereby, since separating operation is performed with the rotating drum 2 readily passing the forehead bone 13 having the maximum size in the residues, the forehead bone 13 which is conventionally difficult to separate can easily be separated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
