<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a continued printing job or a continued printing job in a varnishing mode when an accident has occurred, in a processing machine equipped with at least one independently driven printing cylinder for bearing a printing matrix. <P>SOLUTION: This problem can be solved as follows: (1) The speed ratio between a plate cylinder 10 and a rubber blanket cylinder 8 or the speed ratio between a plate cylinder 9 and a sheet guide cylinder 6, is to be set to other than 1:1.
