PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine that can effectively utilize a space of an electric apparatus wherein the rotary electric machine is arranged by suppressing an increase in the occupation volume of the rotating electric machine. SOLUTION: A holder attachment part 25 the whole or the main part of which is located on the one-side end face of a yoke 11 of a stator core 7 is integrally formed at a slot insulator 15. Connecting-part holding parts 27a that are arranged at prescribed intervals are arranged at a lead wire holder 27 so that a plurality of connecting parts 30 constituted by connecting lead wires of windings do not contact with one another. The lead wire holder 27 is constituted such that the connecting-part holding parts 27a are located above a part of the windings 9 and above the holder attachment part 25 in a state that the lead wire holder is attached to the holder attachment part 25. The holder attachment part 25 and the lead wire holder 27 are accommodated in a recess that is formed on one end bracket that opposes the end face of the yoke, is opened toward both sides of the axial direction, and opened toward the outside of the radial direction of a rotating shaft.
